TikTok user Cassie Woodard recently shared a touching video of her 94-year-old grandfather tending to his flower garden, which quickly went viral, amassing over 4.5 million views.
Cassie had a special reason for capturing this moment: her grandfather was responsible for all the flowers at her wedding. Determined to contribute something meaningful, he cultivated every flower needed right in his own front yard. This was a labor of love, as he had been caring for the flowers he and his late wife planted together decades earlier. After his wife’s passing in 2013, he continued tending the garden as a tribute to her.
For Cassie’s wedding, which featured deep red as the primary color, her grandfather grew a stunning patch of Celosia flowers, also known as cockscomb, known for their vibrant red blooms. His garden overflowed with these beautiful flowers, providing an abundance for the wedding decor.
Cassie commented on the sentimental nature of the video, saying, “I wanted to capture the special moment we shared picking the flowers the day before my wedding. We took them straight to the venue to decorate, and I put together a few shots to preserve the memory of picking them together.”
